Riiight. I know many ex-soldiers (kind of goes with having parents from the vietnam era) who served and deserve none of my respect for actions they have taken in and out of uniform. On the other hand, there are quite a few people who served that demand my respect based on their actions. All I am saying is it takes more than a uniform to earn it. 5 classmates of mine joined the marines for 1 reason, they had no other options and that goes for awful lot of enlistees. The uniform can be a piece of the puzzle, but its the actions in an out of it that matter.
