The guys from D-12 really aren't gangsters or anything like that. In fact, I find them pretty goofy and weird. Proof was in 8 Mile and was genrally reguarded as a pretty decent rapper. He might have got in a few rap battles but nothing major. He was just sitting in the club minding his own business when it happened.
