Does the author have a source for this assertion? He cites a poll for the other statement, but not this one.

Not that I necessarily disagree with the "not very hard-working" part, at least as it pertains to taking salary, benefits, and work hours for granted.

And FWIW liberals aren't the only group opposed to tightened immigration... business owners that depend on cheap labor (aka Republicans) are against it as well.
