this was my case, all you have to do is drop the cluster in and it will work correctly, the speedo itself figures out what the speed should be based on the input from the vss/pcm

you might need to adjust the needle if someone else has messed with the guage already, I did because I set the milage to match my cluster, I used a OBDII scanner to set it and have tested that with gps

how do u get the miles set to match. that is the whole reason i have not put in a new set yet.

well the cluster I got had less miles on it then my car, so what I did was pull the odometer out, have to remove the speedo, needle and face(held on by 3 screws) and then pull the motor. I then just started turning the wheel by hand and later started using a dremel to "power" it forward. if the cluster has more miles then I think you have to take teh numbers out and set them to what you want then put it back together

edit: before I forget some are going to say why bother setting the miles since it isn't the original for one and two if you open it you will pretty much screw any chance of having warrenty work done, I rather have the miles match then not match, and I am about to turn 80k anyway so that is the last that I could get warrenty work done anyway

Mine had 5k less miles on it...to be honest in my situation I could care less. It isn't like any warranty is going to be performed to my car and I have written down my old cluster's mileage so I know where I am at. Also I have about 150 Miles on my 3L

i know what you are saying, I just rather have the odometer read the correct milage that is on the car so I don't have to think about it
