Here's the situation, I have a 1999 SVT Contour, stock right now. I'm looking to put probably 18" rims on it, witch will also be wider than factory spec too. factory is 16x6.5 rims, and I'm looking to move up to 18"x ?? whatever rim looks good pretty much. My main question is what kind of wheel rub am I going to be looking at, for example, turning and hitting bumps, and is there anything I need to do to prevent wheel rub from happening? Do I need to upgrade my shocks and struts? Do I need something to prevent my rims from rubbing when I turn? Also is there a certain profile tire which is better or not?? If anyone knows or has some experience with this king of thing I'd really appreciate some feedback.
