So I was trying to fix my problem, the same old p0122 TPS low input. The TPS is new (a couple of weeks) so I traced the wiring back as far as I could (not very...). I was at a junkyard for some small parts, and had this idea... I cut the wiring off a V6 and replaced it on mine. I cut about 6 inches back and spliced the wires in.

I was thinking that when I originally took the TPS off a few weeks ago (and the troubles were starting) that I pulled the wires and caused a split or a short...

While I was in there, I patched that little gray vacuum tube I broke a few weeks ago. I also replaced the vacuum tube the goes to the brake booster (Thanks Goonz). I pulled fuses #4 and # 11 to reset the computer, etc.

Now the car won't start at all. Key in, dash lights up, won't even attempt to start.

Any ideas? What did I screw up now? I'm going to check the fuses tomorrow...

If the car will not crank over, your battery might be weak, recharge it, or the starter system has issues (wiring, bad motor). I hope it's just the battery is low.

OK, I'll check that out. I tried to jump start it last night.... I'll try again.

My kids were playing in the car while I was out there, which meant all the lights were on and off, doors open and closed, etc. That's why I tried the jump start first. I'll try again.

Thanks.

Would a starter motor be good on Friday and bad on Saturday? How would I test it?

bring it in to be tested to any local auto parts store. Or take it off and see if the "tooth" part can be engaged or disengaged (pushed in and out)

My FIL says he thinks it might be a Clutch Position Sensor. Anyone? Where is it? How would I check?

What about a Starter solenoid?

Anyone know where these things are? How to check?

I've done some searching... Might it be a Camshaft position sensor?

Please, any ideas?

Could be the Camshaft Postion Sensor (CMP) or could also be the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP). Check the wiring at the connectors first.

CMP

Anyone have any information on a Clutch sensor? I can't find any mention of it on AutoZone's site. Part number? Another name?
