It's been about 3 months and some odd days..... I stopped counting.

Allstate hasn't even made their "Final" "Final" decision  Man those guys are retards.

Well my job has been keeping me busy lately so I don't have much time to think about it!!

I do miss impressing the girls with the SVT though eek eek

To prevent this situation again I am getting an oil pressure guage installed and a mirko pan put in. Hopefully he is still making them.

Final decision is supposed to be this week, but I remember saying that a month and a half ago!!

Engine is still in car, and I am still trying to find someone to install a quafie, which is close to hopeless!!

There are some other things that need to be worked out with the new engine laugh laugh I'm willing to wait

BritishBanger,

What happened to your engine? Did it overheat?

I had a similar experience with a new motorcycle once. Except, the dealership took all their tools and locked the doors.

My three month old Yamaha (with a siezed engine) was locked inside. I had to wait 30 days for the Sheriff to enter before I could get it out of there. Then, we brought it to another dealership.

Six months after that, they were still waiting for parts. It was just a heap of parts in the corner of the garage.
It was so frustrating, I decided to trade it on a new Honda.

I guess I posted this to say "it could be worse." I hope you get your SVT back soon.

Oh, I forgot something.

The new Honda motorcycle mentioned in my last post was lost in a garage fire about 8 mos later.

One might look at this "siezed engine" and then "burned to the ground" experience as devine intervention.

I agree. We traded the third motorcycle (bought after the fire) in on our SVT.

It was funny to trade the bike for a car. The Ford dealer was afraid to touch it. I had to move it into their garage for them. But they took it in trade for a price I could live with. Sorry about that "live with" pun. Yes, it was terrible.

The SVT is so much fun, it has been two weeks and I still don't miss the Kawasaki KLR650. Yes, that is good.

Wow that is an interesting story!

Yea I lost all oil pressure and threw a rod. Two more bearings are chared black and were very close to siezing.

I have a warranty from allstate so they are supposedly gong to pay for everything.

Oh yea don't buy a warranty from allstate. smile
