That's a lot of work for 2 days, it would have taken me probably 2 days to get everything apart. I'm slow and tedious

The finished product looks nice though

Well.. the most expensive part of this is of course the Konis - luckily I scored these during the 10% sale at AJUSA.

For example - The entire SVT Focus brake set only cost me $100 shipped from a junkyard in Texas - including calipers, pads, rotors and brakets. After that they just took time to bring back to new looking.

Most of this stuff just required time to do and intall. Searching for the parts new or used in the classifieds and on ebay takes a while, but it saves tons of $$. The most difficult part for most is having all the tools to do it (that's when you have to bribe the friends that have the tools).

Hmm.. I wonder what is in this box? The UPS man dropped it off today - gotta love the deals on ebay.

What brackets are those on your sway bar? Part number?

Thanks

They are Energy Suspension part # 9.5157 ( http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/swaybbct.html ) which fit the Roush bar perfectly.

However, they do not fit the Contour very well. I had to section the height by 8mm to make everything work out (cut and reweld). I also had to trim one of the ends significantly to make it clear the fuel tank. Also note in the brackets that I made they are flush with the upper edge of the subframe (instead of having a material thickness on the top)

From what I have heard - I would recommend buying the Prothane components instead as they are not quite as tall and should fit better in the package.
