Sorry for the repost, search 3.5 duratec to see about recent talks before my post, oh well. No doubt the the big 3 are late as usual. If and when they put the 3.5 into the fusion/milan that's going to drop the crap out of the 3.0 fusions value, I'd be ticked.
When my explorer is paid off the wife wants a awd G35, we went and looked at some to get an idea of what they where like, I'm impressed.

Just so everyone knows, the 3.5L was designed with forced induction in mind. So I would not be suprised to if you start to see turbo or supercharged 3.5L's down the road.
Now compare that to DCX, Honda, Toyota, and the others. A 3.5L S/C would put out 325-350 easy.
How about a 3.5L s/c Fusion with AWD and a 6spd manual. That thing would eat EVO's and STI's for lunch.

Hopefully the AWD would be better than that of the MS6 and be able to better handle the power.
I still dont think it would be in the same cateory as the EVO/STI and it would be hard pressed to beat them at their own game.
I could see it giving the Legacy GT and MS6 a run for the money.
I wonder if GM is still thinking of using superchargers in their upcoming engines.

I think Lincoln should keep to using names for their cars. The vast majority of people I know don't remember either the Lincoln Zephyr or the Mercury Zephyr. It differentiates them from the competition.
Oh, and the Fairmont/Zephyr was not a bad car.

maybe the 3.5 for the fusion isn't far behind, since they are basically the same car. Sucks that no svt versions are coming, svt would have souped up the 3.5 nice .
Does it matter that there is no vehicle named the Fusion SVT when, for all intents and purposes, a Lincoln MKZ is exactly that?
