I was reading in my motor trend that lincoln is renaming the zephyr, they are calling it the MKZ for what ever reason. They are also replacing the 3.0 221-horse for the 250-horse 3.5 for the 2007 models. maybe the 3.5 for the fusion isn't far behind, since they are basically the same car. Sucks that no svt versions are coming, svt would have souped up the 3.5 nice .

MKZ is a far better name than the Zephyr. Ask anyone that is is old enough to remmber the Z what images arise. Not good ones.

Unlike you kids, SOME of us are old enough to remember and appreciate the ORIGINAL Lincoln Zephyr.

Let us eee.
Accord 3.0L 244hp/211ft-lb Camry 3.5L 268/248 Altima 3.5L 250/249
Even Chrysler has had a 3.5L 250/250 for years. Ford is way behind in V6 development. They come to the party 4 years too late. The Fusion needed to launch with a 3.5L.
10 years ago, domestic vehicles had the power advantage, but questionable reliability. One could always get more performance for the buck going domestic. Now, imports have better drivetrains and the reliability. No wonder domestic market share is down so much.

repost not that it matters lol Just couldn't help myself. I also agree that domestic power/quality still sucks.
