I think that is a really good idea as another side of their story. Show both sides. That would make it a more fair and complete story. I think that we might be surprised at how well treated the American would be unless he was purposely baiting them. Or if he was unlucky enough to run into some of the extremist wackos.

I don't think going to a NASCAR race is a bad idea for a story like this, as long as they are going other places. They need to go to a Country club, malls and downtown in a big city, + others, to check the reactions of different demographics. They will need to do it scientifically and spend the same amount of time doing the same things in the same costumes, etc.

It would also make a difference how they do it. What sort of costume will their actors be wearing? A couple of younger guys acting all crazy with wires poking from beneath a long coat? Or a family...

If it was done in a fair way, I would be interested in this story.
