thanks for the good info this is my seconds SVT Contour first one was a 2000 Black w/ Tan int and ran like it was new .... this one had been a silver nightmare .. it's a 1998.5 silver w. blue int. i've owned this one a year and 3 months .. and i've replaced 2 alt's both rear break lines a head unit and the disc for the breakes ... so i'll just get the 01+ engine .. thanks again ... just trying to stay outta another nightmare... with this car ...
