maybe they will, but who are they hurting trying to sell it first?
Second, the damage doesn't look that bad. I've seen worse on well maintained SVT's, including my own. So one of the vinyl stickers has a scratch in it...whatever's in the door can be buffed out. And apparently someone went a little too far pulling into a parking spot and cracked the bumper. Again, common problem. I'm sure the guys at the shop have all had a wack at that car though. I'm not saying it's worth 20k, but seems like people are nitpicking over problems that could be easily fixed. Mechanical details/problems should be the major deal here.
Small difference, SVT was a production car in the 10000 vechile range (i dont care for the actual number) whereas this is a one of a kind custom car, something that shoulda been looked after better than it was.

You can beat up a bar of gold into whatever shape you want; it's still worth the same.

Not a big difference. Again, failed project on a dead platform. Might mean something to you or me, but maybe Saleen is just trying to cash in (although i don't know WTF they need $20k for) before it goes the way of the dozens of conecpt cars that were also one of a kind and still got scrapped. They most likely got the car for peanuts, and whatever money they threw into it has been gone so long it doesn't even matter anymore.
The only thing one of a kind really on that car is the body kit.

Alex stated to me that the car needs alot of work to be driveable. and when i told him i wasnt looking for a daily driver, just wanted to be able to drive it to shows and not trailer it, he said in the current condition that wouldnt happen.
he would not get into specifics with me, he just stated that they could look into fixing it but the asking price would go way up.

If you're a prospective buyer, why wouldn't he tell you what the problems are? Either way, thats just rediculous
