OK, I removed the oil cap without any difference in clicking volume. I also removed the accessory belt ie. Alt, PS, AC and it still makes the clicking sound. The noise is deffinately coming from that area but I don't know what could be making it; main crank pully perhaps? The clicking is getting louder now and can be easily heard from both inside and outside the car. Also while in gear the clicking gets much louder when the brakes are applied, even when the car is not moving. I found this out when it was on jack stands and I shifted through the gears with the brakes applied and not applied. The only other suggestion so far is an exhaust leak but I don't think the sound is coming from the manifolds or exhaust pipes. Any other suggestions guys?
