It seems that I'm one of the few people that doesn't hate the styling. I think its bold and stands out against everything else. Maybe they could have made it a little smaller and lower to the ground. I saw a basic one the other day in black and it wasn't too shabby. Given its price range, I don't expect certain parts to be high quality, maybe the SRTs will have a better interior than the entry ones. I think once this semester is over I would like to go test drive one. flame on

I too have have only seen a couple on the street and the dealership near my work had a couple of them last week and now their gone and a new supply hasn't come in yet. Once they do, I think I'll take one for a test drive for the hell of it, but only a manual, seeing an SRT-4 would be the only way I'd go IF, thats a big IF, I chose to lease one once my current lease is up. Who knows, if I like it enough, maybe they'll let me pull ahead on my Crossfire next year

A negligble amount over an 18" wheel. I mean jeez, while were at it, lets just downsize them to 15" that will save some weight!
Im trying to get at the fact that with 300 300 on tap its not necessary.
And im willing to bet that when these owners find out how much they weigh... they will pick up some lighter 19's

Actually kind of looks like Dodge taking a stab at the Toyota Matrix or the Pontiac Vibe... For as ugly as it is, it's supposed to be a heck of a quick little car, at least that's what the Dodge website claims

My question is what advantage do the black band-aids have over a more proportional wheel/trie package? Perhaps the money they saved could have been used to make the vehicle feel more substantial.

Well, let's see....
Less sidewall=less sidewall movement=surer grip=craptacular ride quality.
I see what you are getting at though. I think 18s would be a better way to go, but SRT takes no prisoners...
And coming home today, I saw a white base model. I was very impressed with how it looked in motion in person. It almost reminded me of the original Neon. HI!!

I think on something like a caliber it is at least partly about the style. I mean look at it on 19's. They don't look that big at all. Look at a 'tour with 19's, they look HUGE then. Newer cars are styled to have larger wheels.
Hell, 20 years ago a Ferrari was riding around on 16's

I guess you guys are right, some light weight 19's would be the ticket, but with the market the car is geared at, the light weight 19's will be out of most their price ranges Also someone mentioned the price to replace them, well, if you want to play, you have to pay! Back to my question though, any guess at what the stage I or II kits will add to this already potent package
