Rice - Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements. (R.I.C.E.)Parts put on cars to make them look fast, when they have no internal tuning, and are actually slow as hell. Parts usually consist of excessivley angular bodykits, large rear spoilers, neon, sponsor stickers, chrome rims, fake "coffee can" exhaust tips, and loud, annoying paint jobs and/or vynils. Sometimes parts are do-it-yourself installed and are basically duct taped to the car. Most commonly known for being done to Honda Civics, but can also be done to slow domestic vehicles, such as a Chevy Cavalier, etc.
Can someone PLEASE tell me how this car is a rice mobile? I mean, according to the terminology that you guys are using, this means that hector's car was a "Pile of rice" people will disagree with me by saying "no, he put a lot of work into that car" yeah, so did my friend andrey. In fact, Andrey has more parts into that civic then Hector had into his S/C contour. Dont get me wrong, I would take that S/C Zetec ATX tour over a Turbo honda civic ATX, but the principle still remains. You guys are calling it rice for the soul reason that its a honda civic. My friend bought that civic and has done NO asthetic modifications to it in the year and a half that he has owned it. In fact, he made it less rice. He bought that car with a totaly ghetto suspension, stock struts and cut springs in the front. First thing he bought for that car is a set of drop zone struts and springs. He then bought new tires. After that he ordered an AEM fuel rail, skunk2 manifold, 68mm throttle body, Tsudo exhaust, Vortech FMU, and to top it off the Apexi P-18 Turbo (thats the exact setup). The tail lights a friend gave him free, and he didnt want to insult his friend by selling them and/or not putting them on. He JUST installed them and doesnt know if he likes them at all. I should convince him to tint them...

^^ Hey man, I personally don't like the looks of the car but I can appreciate what's been done to it. That car is about as rice as a STi is. I personally wouldn't take the rice comments to heart as it really only matters what your friend thinks of his car. To me it definately sounds good, I just don't like the look (I really don't care for Hondas, not saying they are crap or anything, just that I don't like them). Some people here might consider the STi rice (as a lot of the general public do) while people at the STi site consider the SVT Contour as a grandma sedan. To each their own and just drive and customize the car the way you want it.

Hectors car didnt have needless vinyl or bodykits, nor did he have stickers anywhere or vents. His car was very tastefully done and pretty much everymod had a purpose.

wow, this is so rediculous. Why dont you all just get off the whole rice thing. I mean, grow up! Personally, I don't like honda's, and honda's. I don't care they get 250 light years to a pint of carrot juice. I just don't like them. This dude did nothing to his car, it was done before he bought it. (aesthetically speaking) God forbid! The only thing I think is hilarious, is his little pose in front of it. Even if I was driving a saleen or ferarri, I wouldnt make a gay pose in front of it. But you guys need to really just get over it.

Ummmmm, maybe you dont remember... (hector I loved your car for the record), he had a CF hood, mismatching sideskirts, rattle can painted front bumper, can muffler (loud), racing seats...
