one of mine is the gap shown in the pic - i know that is acceptable but the 1/4 inch gap will induce clunking when the suspension is fully extended I ordered new cones for my suspension @$33 a piece just so that i can give myself piece of mind. I will have to disagree with you stazi, not to dispize you but to be on the safe side - it is not good to have a gap below your top cap on your suspension tower more than 1/8" FYI.
