WOW I have never hear of that before. You must have put really thick tape for the guages to hit the needle.
You misunderstood what I was saying. I'm saying HE did not press down or stick them down enough. Not that it shouldn't be installed that way.
If you don't use adhesive they will lift up in areas and hit the needle.
