Nope I feel the same way. I found it annoying trying to shift into 3rd with a short throw it felt like it I had stretch my arm to get it into gear. I like the stock shifter. Then again it could because I got spoiled with the short throw I have in my mazda I just flick my wrist to shift the gears, now that short throw I like.

The steeda shifter doesn't just reduce the length of the shaft. It also lengthens the shaft below the big middle joint. This reduces the distance the shift knob has to travel no matter how long the shaft is.
Drive any car with a short throw shifter and you'll have the stock shifter. I drove one afer I got my short shifter in my WRX and it felt like I had to move the lever to the next county to change gears.

one problem ive noticed now with the steeda is the car likes to kick me out of 2nd and 4th sometimes. Ive actually grinded the gears a few times (which NEVER happened before) because it wont go all the way into 2nd or 4th.. Gotta go look at the linkage and see whats up.
