i've been with DFCU (Dearborn Federal Credit Union) for about 5 years now. no complaints at all, and every time i've been to the local branch, i'm greeted by name. very friendly service, and i just got a credit card from them with ridiculously good numbers.

yay.

is it red x's for everyone?

I've heard good things on CU's too, but having to drive to wherever it is located sounds pretty lame.

Do credit unions have online banking???

Credit Union! Big Banks see you as a number. Credit Unions treat you like a human being. My last visit to Wells Fargo(when I used to bank with them), was a huge argument, which lead to me taking my money out of there and going with a Credit Union.

Amen to that. Reason being is credit unions are usually way smaller chains, and they actually CARE about their customers, as Mark stated.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

The reason that credit unions are better are because they are not for profit, so their employees get paid really well... which translates into good service!
