I don't think there is much dispute that we are in a warming trend. The dispute centers around whether the trend is a) man-induced and b) to continue unabated, culminating in an apocolyptic scenario.

Many scientists (and college professors) are in dispute about these points. Many of the conclusions of the doomsayers are based on debatable assumptions.



I am going to listen to a professor with a doctorate and TIME magazine over some guy in KS!

What happened to the holes in the Ozone...guess what hypotheses change! It seems that the ice caps melting have become more of an issue than the holes in the Ozone.




Time flip-flops on this issue. Professors and scientists are still engaged in healthy scientific debate.

The ignorance you display is in thinking that "some guy in Kansas" has nothing to add to the discussion, and can't possibly have more wisdom and intelligence than a journalist for a major magazine.

Remember the "30 Nobel Laureates agree" ploy? Wow! They are Nobel Laureates! They must certainly know more than some KS hayseed! Only trouble is, none of them earned their Nobel honors in anything to do with climatic science (and most had nothing to do with science, period.)

Do not place too much trust in titles or position, and do not consider Time to be a serious source of scientific information.
