So what happened to the impending ice age & global cooling from the 70's that man was responsible for?

Ignorance, indeed. Mother nature is far less fragile than you would imagine. She has proved it time & again throughout the ages absorbing both man-made & natural catastophies. The 'scientists' responsible for drawing these conclusions need to come out & smell the coffee, then take a closer look at what mother nature is capable of.
