close, but not quite right. The earth goes threw a warm spell then gets hit by an ice age. The warm spells normally last for around 10000 years and the ice ages last for 100000(?). We are at the tail end of the warm spell. Look at a graph of the planets average temps and one will see that when the Pangea was around it was VERY warm because of the currents of the oceans and all that good stuff. so when the continents started to drift it altered the currents and thus the the climate changed. This is all just the earths normal cycle of heating up and cooling off. Earth heats up, glacial ice melts and makes the seawater not as salty and that changes the current. With out the current we get nice hurricanes and droughts in certain areas and floods in others. To think that humans are so powerful that we can change the earth so much is complete and utter ignorance and arrogence. This is a natural cycle of the earth folks, data proves it, the media wants a story.
