good god... why can't people be level headed about things?

it's obvious the climate shifts over the millenia, and it's obvious that we have polluted out environment as well. but it will be hundreds and hundreds of years before our input on the environment chenges it drastically enough to cause major problems. i would imagine we will have advanced enough in that time (look at the last 100 yrs for a curve) to clean up the problem.
