Don't get me wrong, man has certainly done his part to muck up our environment, but the output of greenhouse gases by man, really only since the industrial revolution in the 1800s, has been very small relative to even a single volcanic eruption.
Yes, a single eruption can and perhaps has in the past completely changed the earth's climate. There are many hypotheses about how CO2 has had an affect on our planet in the past. They have taken ice core samples from the poles that show varying amounts of co2 in the atmosphere throughout our history. I took a geology class 4 semesters ago and we discussed this at length. To be honest I have forgotten most of the specifics, but IMHO da nile isn't just a river in Egypt.
I'm not gonna end on that tho. The emissions from our cars are NOTHING compared to the emissions coming out of developing countries (India/China). We need to push these countries to have more laws on limiting greenhouse gases...but I doubt it will happen.
Regardless of what you believe in...we are all on board for this ride and there is really NOTHING that any of us can do to make a difference.

That was the premise of some recent study on the subject. A group of global warming geeks got together, studied their data, had a pizza & a few beers, and decided that the damage was done. Even if we stop all greenhouse emissions this very instant, the end is still coming.
So, bring on the horsepower & cut off the cats!
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
