Oh dang, you beat me. Ours had 12 miles when we drove it off the lot. But a couple of those was our test drive. I remember my wife chirped the tires and was sold on the V6. Still have the window sticker.

We've had no major problems, engine is still strong etc., but a lot of smaller things have been going wrong the past couple of years. It's been a bit annoying, but we love the car. These problems have sparked my interest in learning more about it and upkeeping it, etc.

We did actually own 2 black Contours at once. We had our '98 bought new, and I needed a commuter car. The dealer that sold us the '98 said we just got this one in on a trade and handed us the keys. We walked out and just laughed at a '96 Black Contour. It was a Sport with the Zetec and I drove that for several years. Finally traded it in on our van.

I still miss that driver's seat though.
