Marketing degrees are like marketing reports - you can make then say what you want. MSU is a known and respected school for both marketing and advertising. The one good thing about a communications degree is it doesn't pigeon hole you. The one bad thing about a communications degree is it isn't focused.
IMO, the real intent of a communications degree is a simpler, faster way to get to an advanced degree.
* blows own horn here - yesterday, I got called (finally) to interview for the MSU Executive MBA program. Yee HA. I wonder if I can afford to blow off family, friends, life and struggle at work for 2 years? Oh, and then there's the cash thing. You know automotive companies are doing so well right now; the cash available for enrichment is just flowing freely....
