PR is getting the message out there... you'll come up with your "plan of attack" as to the best way to promote it.
Think of it this way: you're a PR rep for an auto company... new product is coming out and you have to sit down with your team to devise a plan to get media coverage. You know like in Car & Driver where they'll do their "Sneak Peek"-type thing with like an H3 out in the desert or whatever? Manufacturer sets those up for product launches and invites the media out to drive the product and (hopefully) write articles on it to increase the exposure.
