As some of you may know, I've been in the market for a house.
Well, it's finally all done. (At least the purchasing part...)
I purchased a house approximately 6.5 miles from my new job in a decent area. Specs are 1300 sq ft, 0.41 acres, two floors with an attic and basement, new vinyl siding, new vinyl windows, new central air, hot water heater, heater and 86 years old. All in all I'd say I did a pretty good job as this is the first house I've bought. I've rented for the past 7 years after being discharged from the Navy and now I can finally say - IT'S MINE!!!
Bad news, the jokers (sellers) left the house a freaking mess. I've been working on it for two weeks straight with cleanup and moving and finally, last night, I was able to stay there for the first time. (Last night I had the joy of picking rolled up tampons from behind one of the toilets. ) The refridgerator had so much meat juice in it we couldn't tell if the shelves were supposed to come out or not!
From mopping two rooms. The second bucket (for the same rooms) was almost as dirty.
Basement...
Antiquated bathroom.
View out of the master bedroom.
Size of my attic (Terri is 5'11.5" and she's wearing cowboy boots...).
Carport (two car detached garage is, hopefully, in the very near future).
View off my back deck.

I did an 80/10/10 loan and my total monthly payments including taxes comes to $1460.
