well, im thinking about trading my 2000 contour zetec atx with 60,000 miles, should i change it for a 1998 contour v6 5 speed sport with 40,000 miles?? both are in a+ condition,
help me please.

why not doing it ?? i mean if its the same condition and 20000miles less why not ??

Heck yeah! 20k less miles, better engine and tranny, so who cares if it's 2 years older?

I would only if I knew the history of the 98 to ensure that it has indeed been as reliable as your 2000 has. I'm sure TwoTwinTours would have something to say about this (he did the exact same thing, only from a 98 to a 95, and the 95 was nothing but a money pit).
Although .. Contours are so cheap nowadays ... if it's feasible for you to own both (2000 as a reliable daily driver, plus keeps the miles off the 98), that's the route I'd go ...

That's what my daughter did. She got rid of the 98 Zetec (ATX) with 98,000 mile on it and got a 98.5 V6, five speed with 52,000 on the clock. You might want to have it checked over before you buy it. Of course, no one can predict if things will go wrong but it's better to do so. Good luck with whatever you decide.

He also got one that had 260,000km (i think) on it.

well yeah both are in great condition, the 2000 is silver frost, and the 1998 is gold, i dont know what to do, mine has been pretty reliable, i was wondering if v6s are as reliable as zetecs???
