Yeah, seriously. I got my 1995 V6 LX autobox for about $3500, and it's a combo daily driver and project car. Someday when the tranny goes south I'll have it Level 10'd, and if/when the engine needs to be replaced or rebuilt, I'll get Terry Haines to do it, and even if the car's resale value never goes up to cover the cost, who cares, because it'll be a strong, solid runner for a lower total expenditure than, say, a stripped Honda Civic or some other grocery getter.
