I see Dougie's point and I think he should get the car. I don't care that my resale value sucks. I love my car and I'd rather put miles on it autocrossing or dragging it. I don't see myself keeping it forever, but I'd like to keep it in good shape for now. It's possible that in 3 or 4 years when it's paid off, it will be my daily driver.
If I remember correctly, Cartman has a Boxster. No offense, but nothing special if you ask me. Sure, it's a Porsche, but it's also only a Boxster. They're not rare at all and the performance is slightly better than an SVT Contour.
I'd rather have a car that get recognized by hardcore auto enthusiasts than a car that will make someone say, "Dude! That's a Porsche. He must be rich." I'm not saying Cartman bought the car just because it's a Porsche.
I consider myself a major car enthusiast and I would rather not have a Porsche or a Mercedes than buy a Boxster or a C Class.
Just my opinion.
