Maybe the fact that the car is rare... yes right now it's depreciated a lot, but think of in another 20 years (if it's still in mint condition). It might appreciate in value by then. We don't know...
Also, if people love their cars so much they'll want to keep it for as long as possible - and the most likely way to do this is to not drive it so often.
