Well I just saw a preview for this last night, and wow.. Umm yea the cars look pretty cool, but I am sorry, in Tokyo, they drift in the mountains, not on the busy ass streets. There just is not enough room. Every Japanese person I spoke to about this when I was there said that it is done in the mountains (which it looked like there might have been 1 or 2 clips of.) I will probably see it also, even though highly innacurate... most likely.

Are you serious?.... It's The Fast and the Furious, and you're complaining about accuracy?

I'll see it, just for the entertainment value. The movies are not friggin masterpieces, they are just car movies with bad acting, horrible plots, neat-o cars and some cool effects.

The only reason I watch those movies is cause the producers always finds an extremely hot girl that some how plays a role in the movie.

BTW, you will never see Vin Diesel in a sequel, I don't think his agent lets him or he doesn't like it or whatever. The only exception is Riddick.

You know, I dont really understand why everyone hates on origionality! Sure, its retarded. Sure it would probably make more sense with a v8 in it. Do they not still deserve credit for trying something new?

Do you think an LS1 in an RX7 shell is ruining the RX7?

Terms like back in the day, old school and drifting bug me. No real reason as they do have a usefull meaning. As for drifting, I really do enjoy getting my (any for that matter) car sideways. I know it's not the fastes way around a track or course, but it is fun. Who hasn't smiled ear to ear when they perfectly nail an opposite lock, full throttle turn and keep right on going!!!!!!

I guess learning to drive with rear wheel drive in a snow state has something to do with it. In the winter I often find myself makinf laps on Woodward Ave. just to slide around the turn arounds.

The Japanese version; eh. Not so much. If you want to see what really soes it for me in a textbook definition of drifting, checkout Ruf's Fazsination Plus. A remake of the original, Fazsination, which every car entusiast should have. It's the story of a sports car icon, the Ruf CTR, simply known as Yellow Bird. Absolutely flawless driving aroung the Green Hell by a dude in loafers who works the gears and wheel like race horse on speed. The in car video shows fast and frantic foot and wheel work, the exterior view shows the epitome of fluid driving. Go Here for the original: Fazsination - original Yellow Bird (469 HP narrow body twin turbo).

Back in the day, it was always a neighborhood contest to see who could leave the longest 'fish-tail' in the new paved streets. Old school cool before we could drive. Before Mountian bikes. When your first bike had 1 speed and you pushed the pedal backwards to brake...
