Leave it in Drive, manually shifting this car only slows things down. Turn off O/D, I beleive it locks up the torque converter at a higher RPM meaning you gain a little towards then end of the run. The weather was almost perfect, about 65 degrees, low humidity.

As for launch, you'll hafta play around with that. Always use the brake torquing method. I try to launch from around 2k, just before the brakes start to give... You'll want to nail the gas while you're letting off the brakes.
