I just put my BAT intake pipe on last weekend and had the same issue.
Loosen the clamps on the intake pipe and push the filter and intake pipe down to a lower angle. Then re-tighten the clamps and you are good to go. Should be about a 30 second fix.
What color silicone connectors did you get? Blue? Mine came with black ones (I got the intake from SP Motorsports) so I ordered red ones from Verocious Motorsports. They were a little long so I cut them down to fit better.
