If the cam sensor is bad or giving intermittent signal you will have not only no spark but no fuel.
I once had a 99 Contour, just died while driving, wouldnt restart, was the complaint.
Okay had no spark, okay, lets see does it have fuel, nope no fuel. Okay then how about pulse, nope no pulse either, things getting a new cam sensor.
