This is the way I look at it. What car has the fun of the svt contour? Now how much is that car gonna cost you a month in insurance and car payment in comparison to your svt. I figure if my car motor goes and I am really tight for money I can always just drop another 2.5 right back in it just to drive it. Same with the trans/clutch. I got PLPD insurance on mine and if I got a new car I would have to go to full coverage. Cost effective. Also everyone whines about how horrible of a money pit these cars are and I have not yet to experience that. I have had my cars since halloween and all I have done is water pump(warranty) and oil and air filter changes. Just my 2 cents
