I think my breaking point will be when the rust on the bottom of the doors rolls around to the outside. Due to a dent my mechanic put in my drivers door I'm having the small amount of rust that has just started to creap to the outside sanded down and painted over, but I know that won't last forever. I'll have it paid off in 3 car payments, and my plan was to drive it for another 2 years and save up probably around $10k for my next car, but now I'm not sure I'll make it more than a year. That will still allow me to save about $6k or so, but... I've had quite a few problems over the last year that are now resolved. If she stays reliable for a while now, I'll probably be happy to keep her the two years, but I'm not optimistic.
