My wife is frequently hit on. Early on prior to marriage, she didn't think it was flirting just a guy being friendly. I kept telling her to be careful, well, one finally tried to go a little further, asking her out, and she wised up. She now shoots them all down instantly. It got alot easier when she got the nice big engagement ring. She just flashed it and they would back off. The rumor also went around that I was a big guy(true) and it's happened less and less frequently.
If you are having this much of an issue, your relationship has bigger problems. Having three kids, I suggest you seek professional help. She should have rejected the flowers or given them to some other woman instantly.
Also, if he showed you up that easy, you may not be appreciating her enough.
