because you state you did not get a Ford shim pack. The shim pack contains the reference 1.10 MM shim. This is placed in the trans first, the end float/slack is measured with a dial gage, then you do the math per the book to establish the correct thickness shim to get the correct pre-load. Without building it up with a 1.10 MM shim you have no measurement. So how can the pre-load be correct?!
