I'm kinna curious here...
I remember a lot of jive about not needing to shim a new diff. I still wanted to do it "by the book" so I checked the preload but prior to that I tried to order the shims just in case. Preload was well within spec despite my new Torsen and bearings. They do not exsist from Ford. Anything you order from Ford comes from MicroCad (the program they use to order parts). It does not exsist on the exploded view nor does it exsist in the service manual.

In the Ford service manual it claims NSR. I didn't use any sealer and I have no leaks.
