Secondly, I hit my party stage in high school- and it died in high school. I rarely party because I've seen enough of it-unless it's a special occasion. Some people grow out of doing the same thing over and over again- maybe the future wife has this mindset, too?

I'm sick of reading blind advice and "statistics"- Statistics? I want to know who the losers are that calculate this. People who are in fear of separation go to these resources and usually come back from reading them "tainted", and that's what gets the snowball rolling in the first place.

I say ignore all the negative crits here since you obviously came here for outside input that I doubt will change your mind.

Also well said.

Good luck!

Thanks! Good to hear some mature people with real world experience.

Why would you mention money? Are you rich or something?

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

She went to college for the first semester and hated it. It was her idea to stop going. Although, I loved it when she was going because we had EVERY class together. It was so much fun. We would go out to breakfast, lunch and dinner together! We had co ed volleyball together also. I miss her at school so much! Anyways, I am not rich. I make enough money at this point in my life for us to be able to live a happy, normal life. I am far from "rich". I was just giving and example of a gold digging uneducated woman and contrasting her with my fiance. Thats all.

You've been hearing from mature people with real world experience this whole time... Just because they didn't say, "Oh happy day! You're going to live the rest of your life in pure bliss, and it will be hearts and chocolates and poo poo poo flowers for the rest of your life!!!", doesn't mean they don't have a valid point. You asked for thoughts, you got 'em.

I just have to first say congrats. It's awesome that you've found "the one", and from the way you've mentioned her it sounds like you two have an awesome relationship. Then again, that's just an observation based on a few comments.

That being said, if you're ready for marriage, you're ready. Being together for so long means that you've already done a lot of growing together. Just remember that you'll both change over time, too. Change is, unfortunately, an ongoing process.

One piece of advice (granted, I'm not married yet, or engaged, so I don't know if I'm qualified to give an opinion) is to keep focused on the future. 5 years, 10 years down the road. Set goals, both individually and as a couple. And achieve them. Work together, plan together, live life together. And enjoy it as much as you can along the way. After all, life is a journey, and it sounds like you've found the person you want to share it with!

And Above All, Good Luck!!!!

The ride? Don't ask Taken? Yes The boy? NorMich99SE And yes, I love his car, but can't wait for my own Contour... How about a Green SVT?! I'll be looking come the end of 06 Oh, the ideas!!

Best advice I can give is to make sure you laugh together, because there will be enough trying times to make you upset. You need to be able to drive down the street together and find the little things to make you smile. Life is easier with a sense of humor. P.S. Met my wife in fourth grade making fun of her training bra!!!!
