actually i disagree with you. our grandparents moved great distances alone when they were that age, and went to war, and other amazing things. most 19 year olds nowadays have trouble holding down a job with 20 hours a week let alone stepping out of the their parents' homes. obviously there are exceptions but that was the norm back in the day. while the youth are "growing up" faster these days they certainly arent becoming responsible adults any sooner.
