After my buddy bought the car he had a bunch of motor work done to it, and he just got it tuned yesterday and while only running 18lbs of boost it was putting down around 420hp at the wheels. he was limited to 18lbs of boost because thats all the injectors would allow for fuel flow(while maintaing an operational engine) , so now he is gonna try to sell his other car to uprgade it, and add a stand alone.....he wants to be able turn up the boost to like 27lbs or so break 500hp
i got a question i know the diesil turbo's spool faster when there used with a diesil engine
do they spool at lower rpms on a gas engine or is just a diesil thing
sorry for the newbie question
A turbo is a turbo, regardless of what it's bolted to. Keep in mind the big trucks redline under 3k, and, IIRC, that Powersroke winds out around 6k.
