This is the turbo a friend is putting in his 91 civic hatch. Anyone wanna guess what size it is?
98.5 SVT

It's a t70 w/ t3 flange.
I can't remember what housing he said it was, but it's garret internals. Twin scroll. Also dual compressor wheels (I'm not sure the right term here).
Before he cracked a sleeve, he was running 8.3 in the 1/8 with a t3 w/ not a lotta traction and not being able to get into third correctly.
He's adding a lotta parts now. Should be very fast. The car looks like absolute crap, which makes it funnier when he smokes most anything that tries racing him.

How typical Honda... Looks like crap... Sounds like crap... Gets crappy traction... and will beat the pants off of anybody stupid enough to underestimate it... I think that turbo belongs on a different engine, like oh say, bigger than a 1.6-2.0L.

DAAAMMMMN! That turbo is "fluffy". lol I don't know a whole lot on turbos, but I thought their size was suppose to matched to the motor as a general rule of thumb? I.E. Big turbo, little motor = Boom, little turbo, big motor = why bother? That turbo seems like over to me.

If that motors not a stroked and bored 2.4 I bet it dosn't biuld boost until like 7000rpm So does he hold it at 7000 and drop the clutch then fly threw the gears?
Oh and it looks like a 1.8 LS motor out of a teggy? right?

That turbo seems like over to me.
It would definitely be overkill for a street car.
Almost nothing will be stock on his engine, so it can handle it.

You're correct, it's a 1.8 LS with none of that vtec junk.
He expects to start boost between 5000-6000rpm. He'll probably try it out just like that for a while, but he's got about 20 blue bottles laying around, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them makes its way on to his car.
