After the M3 engine blowing debacle, they started putting in a warm-up rev limiter. Once the engine is warm the it goes to the normal rev limiter. Most of the blown M3 engines were attributed to cold rev limit hits.

It warns you of low gas at 1/4 tank. I'm not sure why they make it go on so early. It's probably because the gas economy sucks.
