try this..get a peice of wire something stiff that will hold its shape. Then go get some crisco baking shorting
put a small loop at the end of the wire. Then fill the loop with the crisco. Then take a blow gun blow it in the cylinder so you can get the peice to fall to the bottom of the cylinder. Then carefully fish the wire in the hole and head for the bottom of the cylinder with any luck you will get the peice to stick to the wire. I no it sounds crazy but it will work. I once used this trick to fish a washer out of a Turboprop engine on a merlin 2B.
