I have a MTX, and I've noticed something recently while sitting in a fast food drive-thru. While the car is idling out of gear with the clutch released, there is a soft rattling noise. As soon as the clutch is depressed, no rattle. Any ideas what is causing this, and should I be concerned? The car has 52K on it and runs like a top.

Sounds like what you get with an aftermarket clutch... I got it with my spec clutch and fidanza flywheel. Its annoying as hell, but worth it.

Ok, not to concern you... but right before my shift tower broke, I was at a Culver's in Rapid City, SD... Heard a jingling noise whenever the clutch was engaged that went away when I pushed the pedal in (clutch disengaged).
It still rattled a bit after TH rebuilt it, but not as loud as it was back in SD.

I'm not sure how many miles it's been going on, maybe around 5-10k. The car has only been autocrossed one time, years ago, and not hard at that. So it's been babied most of its life, averaging only about 5k a year. I guess I'll just keep listening and see if it gets worse. It's barely audible, and only with the windows down. Here's hoping!
