I ordered a B&M short-throw shifter about three months ago. To my surprise, the shifter did NOT come with a shifter knob.

Since then, I've gone through MANY piece-of-crap shifters you can find at your local auto part stores. The threading on my shifter is starting to tear b/c of the screws at the base of each shift knob which eventually loosen and scrape the shifter.

WHAT KIND OF SHIFTER-KNOB HAS ACTUAL THREADS AT THE BASE OF THE KNOB (TWISTS ON TO THE LEVER) INSTEAD OF SET SCREWS?

and fyi, iirc B&M stopped including shift knobs a year or two ago with their shifters, not usre if that is across the board or just for this one ...

Get a leather/billet Cougar shift knob. Problem solved.

Last time I changed one out, I epoxied it on because of the problem you describe. One drawback - if you ever want to remove it....

The leather on the stock knob is unraveling and falling apart. Looks TERRIBLE!
